06/08/07 - Bone Collector vs Silk
This is a Statement from Bone Collectors camp not LACEMASTERS.
This is all the baskets scored from the moment BC gets up from the trip. The only thing that is not there is one foul, Silk tying up his sneakers and BC calling a 30 sec time out after he missed the shot when they both took there shirts off". The announcer can be heard on the actual game tape saying BC up and then saying it's tied up with less then a minute which he was wrong, or maybe he was trying too produce a last second buzzer beater. ..read more..

10/08/06 - "Silk" Baltimore native shows off his skills
Andre "Silk" Poole knows that success does not come without sacrifice. While he was captain of the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex campus basketball team, Division 1 schools were courting him. Georgetown and Xavier universities were his final choices, but when his grandmother fell ill, he decided to stay home to take care of her, he said. "It was a tough thing, but at the same time, I don't regret it at all," Poole said. "I love her to death." She was on dialysis for 16 years before passing away. ..read more..

07/03/05 - 'Silk' uses hoops to soften the streets
His real name is Andre Poole, but in the world of street basketball, he is referred to only as Silk. "It's because my moves are so smooth," he said. Poole is part of the Street Basketball Association All-Stars, which traveled with the NCAA March Madness Shoot-Out to the Hearnes Center on Sunday. Columbia was the first stop for the event, which will visit NCAA tournament sites on its way to the Final Four on April 2, at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

27/02/05 - Andre Poole, aka SILK
Although the SBA is introducing "Silk" for the first time on the website, Andre Poole from Baltimore has been doing his thing on the court for years. Silky smooth is definitely the style of his game, being a legend in B-more, Silk played his high-school ball at Patterson where he was the first player ever to represent the school in the All City All-star Game.
