Compared to the other cats featured here, Junie Sanders, on the other side of 30, is comparatively an old head. His age doesn't make him any less potent on the playground, though. Junie, known nationally by his playground name "General Electric," is coming off one of the best seasons of his life. As a member of the Fayetteville Patriots, Sanders finished fourth in the NBDL in scoring with 16.9 ppg, good enough to earn him All-NBDL Second Team honors. Last summer, he won the New York arm of the Nike Battlegrounds competition, giving him claim to the title "King of New York." And now he's preparing to travel to Europe in June to play Spain's Battlegrounds winner. |
