26/01/05 - Reid bad at keeping secrets
It's time to blow the roof off a myth that has been perpetuated for more than a decade. This myth somehow made its way from the Bronx, N. Y., to Arkansas, from the playgrounds of inner-city New York to the major arenas of Arkansas and the SEC, but it ends today. Sorry, Kareem Reid, but you're not a well-kept secret anymore. |

Hoopsvibe Bio
Dubbed "The Best Kept Secret" by announcer Hannibal, Kareem Reid has certainly managed to make his moniker inappropriate. Having abused the Rucker Park competition with his silky skills for several summers, Reid's name is now known throughout the basketball world. |
Dimemag Bio
Kareem Reid has run just about everywhere there is to run. Since his University of Arkansas career came to a close in 1999, the 5-11, 30-year-old Bronx native has suited up for teams in the NBDL, USBL, CBA, IBL, ABA, The Harlem Globetrotters, and pro squads in Lithuania and Turkey. If there's any place in the world that he call home though, it's 155th Street in Harlem. Since his high school days as a McDonaldÕs All-American at St. Raymond's in the Bronx, "The Best Kept Secret" has been a regular ripping it up in the EBC. |
