28/07 - This is Rucker Park...
Located on 155th street and 8th avenue in New York City is the legendary playground of Rucker Park. What's special about this court is the level of the game played. Rucker is a pure place of street basketball expression where you will see the wildest, latest, and most impressives moves ever. The park got it's name from a man who had a vision to use streetball as his tool to give the city's youth the opportunity to express themselves.

28/07 - Taking it to the hole.. and the stage
Hip-hop and basketball bounce through Kansas City on Saturday a la the AND1 Mixtape Tour. Playground legends like Helicopter, Hot Sauce, Main Event, Alimoe and last year's addition, the Professor, will take on some of the best streetballers Kansas City has to offer. At stake for the locals is chance to earn a spot on next year's AND1 team and be featured on the ESPN series "Street Ball: The AND1 Mix Tape Tour.

22/07 - The Abuser Legend Grows
From the streets to the penitentiary thuglife and basketball collide. Creating a unique and emerging phenomenon in the Bureau of Prison - the prison basketball gangsta. A baller in all senses whose combines playground flava, street smarts, hood dynamics, and the rough-it-off, go-hard mentality which dominates life in the belly of the beast.

21/07 - Streetball tour is a hit at Cobo
The booming bass thumped through Cobo Arena, reverberating even through the aging building's deepest nooks and crannies. Detroiter DJ Fingers mixed the tunes, flanked by four towers of concert-strength mega-speakers. The hip-hop jams flowed from Usher to Petey Pablo, getting the crowd into a party mood. Except this wasn't a concert or a dance party. This was the opening salvos of the AND 1 Mix Tape tour basketball exhibition Tuesday night at Cobo, a show of music and hoops.

20/07 - And 1's style of street differs from Detroit's
Its trademark is flashy moves - behind-the-back passes, sick crossover dribbles and acrobatic dunks. It features quirky nicknames like Hot Sauce, Professor and Syk Wit It. It's the And 1 Mix Tape Tour - a brand of basketball ESPN has dubbed streetball - and it makes its way to Detroit tonight.

19/07 - Streetball tour stokes fans' frenzy
Last summer could have been pretty ho-hum for Grayson Boucher. He was a community college student and basketball player, stuck with bagging groceries and mowing lawns back home in Keizer, Ore. Boucher, a slight, 5-foot-10, 140-pound guard, has a gift for doing magical things with a basketball. He regularly stunned opponents with his sleight-of-hand dribbling trickery and then crushed them with his long-range jumper.

18/07 - The Confidence Men
After registering for the outdoors Open Run in the beautiful downtown district here, street baller Manny Fresh told one of the event's security guys, "I will be the first Dominican in the bus." Manny (real name Manuel Nunez) has that kind of self-confidence. The point guard didn't just know he would be one of four locals chosen to represent Providence against And1 that evening inside the arena.

18/07 - Exile Interview
There is so much talk about YPA and and1. some speculate that and1 doesn't want other streetball companies rising so they try to hate. There are others that say YPA is riding on And1's coat tails to blow up. Both fans are all riled up and angry at each other and opposing sides. How this beef between and1 and YPA got started no one really knows, but the fact is the real victim is Exile. throughout this whole fued he hasn't said a word.

15/07 - Alston Takes The Road Less Traveled
The Raptors made official what has been known for about two weeks now when they unveiled Rafer Alston as the latest addition to the franchise and its future Wednesday in the Raptors' dressing room. This begins the diminutive point guard's second stint in Hogtown after he aided the Raptors through their injury-plagued 2002-03 campaign.

15/07 - AND 1 Tour 2004 - SAN ANTONIO
The 2004 AND 1 Mix Tape¨ Tour players extended a special effort to win in San Antonio in honor of their teammate Antoine "Flash" Howard who passed earlier in the year from cancer. Flash had played ball at University of Texas at San Antonio and his family was in attendance so AND 1 showed the crowd a game full of highlights in the name of their brother. They pulled out a hard fought 94-89 win over the San Antonio team.

14/07 - Raptors announce signing of Alston
The Raptors brought back Alston, an on-court wizard who made his rep playing streetball in New York, after he spent one season with the Miami Heat. News of his acquisition broke last week but could not be confirmed until Wednesday because of a two-week moratorium on trades and free agent signings. Known as Skip to My Lou at the famous Rucker Park in New York, Alston, 27, was a second-round draft choice by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1998 but things didn't work out for him there.

14/07 - They'll remember this Alimoe
Standing 6 feet 8 inches tall, Tyron Evans is easy to spot on the street. It gets even easier when he's dunking a basketball. That's because the street is Evans' playground. It's an attitude he takes with him when he plays streetball under the name Alimoe as a team member of the AND 1 Mix Tape Tour. The free-wheeling basketball competition (and video series) features the country's most famous streetball players vying against local roundballers in different cities.

14/07 - AND 1 Tour 2004 - SALT LAKE CITY
The players of the 2004 AND 1 Mix Tape Tour dazzled the crowd of over 5000 at the "E" Center in Salt Lake City tonight. AND 1 put on a show while defeating the Salt Lake squad, 112-98. Tonight was an elimination game for ESPN2's reality show "Street Ball: The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour" as players "Exile- the Young One" (Roberto Yong, picked up in Sacramento) and "Father Time" (Deshun Jackson, picked up in Los Angeles) were kicked off and former Utah State player Cardell Butler, a.k.a. "Ballahollic" stepped up and was invited to come out on the road.

14/07 - AND 1 Tour 2004 - PHOENIX
Entertaining win for AND 1, 86-71 in San Diego. Las Vegas: The return of Spyda (Dennis Chism)..an impressive show as second-leading scorer for the Vegas team with 24 points, seven boards, five assists and four serious dunks. AND 1 Mix Tape Tour rolled its way through the Orleans Arena with an AND 1 win over the local squad, 97-87. The local crowd saw the return of Spyda (Dennis Chism) from last year's ESPN2 season.

14/07 - AND 1 Tour 2004 - LAS VEGAS & SAN DEAGO
The 2004 AND 1 Mix Tape¨ Tour presented by Mountain Dew Code Red continued tonight in Phoenix as the AND 1 team put on the tour's most entertaining game to date with a 109-97 win over the local Phoenix squad. The scorching Phoenix temperatures translated into the summer's hottest game as the AND 1 team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The AND 1 players continued their search for the next playground legend on this summer's 30-city tour by selecting Phoenix's Charles Davis a.k.a "Spook" to join this summer's tour.

14/07 - AND 1 Tour 2004 - LOS ANGELES
And1 Mix Tape Team handed second loss of 2004 season when stopping in Los Angeles on June 9th, 2004. Photos by Alex Wang - Wednesday, June 09, 2004 -- The 2004 AND 1 Mix Tape¨ Tour presented by Mountain Dew Code Red continued tonight in Los Angeles as the AND 1 players were handed their second straight loss of the tour by the local Los Angeles squad. The And1 players seemed to have difficulty with the tenacious defense of the Los Angeles team as AND 1 fell behind early on their way to a 99-90 loss.

14/07 - AND 1 Tour 2004 - FRESNO & OAKLAND
Tonight's game kicked-off the fifth year of the basketball footwear and apparel company's popular summer-long tour featuring the nation's best street basketball players. The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour, the nation's premiere playground basketball event, will be in 30 cities from June 3rd through August 21st.

The annual Entertainers Basketball Classic (EBC), held at Rucker Memorial Park in New York City is the ultimate street basketball showcase where sports, music, tv/film and fashion meet.
