Arcade sports games are a difficult endeavor. Franchises like NBA Jam, NFL Blitz and NHL Hitz burned out after a few iterations because of a lack of innovation. EA's NBA Street series, however, has managed to stay on top with a consistent formula that was tweaked over the course of the franchise's history, ultimately culminating in the fantastic Homecourt. 21/02 - Ghost Diary - Entry 1
Hey whats up everyone!. I was talking to the guys at streetballin.net and they asked for a Diary, and im always game to touch down with the fans and people interested in my journey. I recently was on a 7 game tour with players like Hotsauce, Air up there, Springs, Elevator, High Rizer, Big swoal, Jfk, I'll be right back, shane the dribblin machine and a couple more. The tour was in a few cities in TEXAS, and New Mexico. It was crazy! The first game i was tryna find my flow and quickly did. Throwing lobs to those high flyers and crossing a few guys in the open court and half court sets. Within a few games i was deffinately in stride. ..read more.
16/02 - All Star Weekend Lands Early In Phoenix
The Phoenix temperatures translated into the falls hottest game as the NBNE Street Ball Legends were invited to play in Phoenix for an All Star Event that hosted some of the hottest street ball players on the plant. Hosting the event was high flying dunking machine Michael “Hawk” Hawkins. The NBNE Street Ball Legends roster included Zig Zag, Socks, Hawk, Elevator, Werm, Showstoppa and K-Money. Their opposition included an all star cast of players including; Ghost, Caution, Juice, and D-Mar. The NBNE Street Ball Legends raced to an early lead as K-Money, Showstoppa, and Zig Zag proved to be a dangerous trio-guard tandem. ..read more.
11/02 - Alston Stars in Rockets Win Over Bobcats
Juwan Howard was impressed the Houston Rockets were able to shake off a bad start and forget a tough loss from the day before to beat the Charlotte Bobcats. Getting the decisive 104-83 win Saturday night after trailing by 11 points early is a sign of maturity, said Howard, who scored 16 points. And on the subject of maturity, the team also got a boost from its 40-year-old center Dikembe Mutombo. 06/02 - Still Ballin Tour Jams into Ft. Huachuca
The Still Ballin Tour jammed into the basketball haven of Ft. Huachuca. The worldwide playground basketball phenomenon debuted in front of fans eager to get a glimpse of the best streetballers on the planet. The NBNE Street Ball Legends wasted no time getting their audience excited as the crowd favorite K-Money dished pass after pass to complete shattering dunks by Elevator and Werm. The most exciting hoops the city has ever seen kept fans on the edge of their seat. In the second half Showstoppa pulled the shirt off one of the players guarding him and then dished an alley oopp to Elevator for a thunderous dunk so ridiculously that the entire crowd rose to their feet and swung rally towels. ..read more.
