31/08 - One on One with The Professor
Ok, let's be honest for a second. 10,000 + people at Madison Square Garden (MSG), in the city known as the Mecca of Hoop. You've got the ball in your hands for a last second shot to win the game. No pressure right? Before you answer look back at some memorable MSG moments:

28/08 - Grayson Boucher :: Large Professor
Quite a few people didn't really think And 1's newest recruit, Salem, OR, product Grayson Boucher, was all he was endorsed to be. Yeah, the 19-year-old has unreal handle and earned the nick "The Professor" from schooling defenders, but some feel the frail, 5-10 point ain't the real deal.

22/08 - Talented hoops players take it to the street
Basketball players walk on the court with one objective in mind. Lonnie Harrell takes it one step further and plays with a reminder written on his back. Harrell, a South Beach resident, is best known by his AND 1 streetball name Prime Objective.

21/08 - AND1 Tour Hop-Steps Into MCI Tonight
The AND 1 Mix Tape Tour, whose emphasis on dunks over defense and trash-talk over chalk talk has vaulted AND 1 from being a niche clothing line to a major athletic apparel manufacturer, culminates tonight at MCI Center. Attendance for the tour is up 30 percent this year, averaging about 7,000 spectators per game. About 10,000 are expected at tonight's event, which begins at 7:30.

20/08 - AND1 Open Run moved inside
The AND1 Mixtape Tour 2004 featuring the best streetball basketball players in the world invites anyone who thinks they can ball to its Open Run 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13 inside the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. Originally planned at a make shift court outdoors, the Open Run was moved inside because of inclement weather possibilities.

20/08 - Rafer Alston Interview
Rafer Alston, who earlier this summer, signed a multi-year contract with the Toronto Raptors was in vintage Skip to My Lou form playing streetball in the EBC at Rucker Park earlier this week. InsideHoops.com editor Jeff Lenchiner met with with Rafer and had a quick chat about returning to Toronto and playing with Vince Carter and Jalen Rose.

20/08 - Bigger $ are taking the street out of streetball
Streetball has gone from cracked pavement courts and rusted rims to shiny hardwood floors and air-conditioned arenas. And while the playing surface has improved, the product hasn't. The 2004 AND 1 Mixtape Tour made its stop in Raleigh Tuesday, featuring what it claims are the best streetball players in the world. AND 1, a basketball shoe and apparel company, has been doing the Tour for several years now and producing mixtapes (and now DVDs) of the highlights from each one.

19/07 - EBC National Champs: We Are The Champions
Rucker Park became a street-party after the Terror Squad defeated an L.A. Do yourself a favor and check back at 155th and 8th in Harlem's Rucker Park. The longest - as well as craziest, wildest, wackiest, nuttiest, best, phattest, and skinniest -- championship game in streetball history is more than likely still going on.

17/08 - EBC Champs: T-Squad Three-Peats
It's high theater -- even higher than usual -- before the long-awaited championship matchup at the Entertainer's Basketball Classic at Rucker Park. There are a plethora of Ruff Ryders taking their warm-up shots on one side of the sizzling asphalt. But Terror Squad is largely -- this is Fat Joe's team, after all -- absent, with approximately zero minutes left on the clock.

17/08 - "And 1 Mix Tape Tour" visits Raleigh
The 2004 "And 1 Mix Tape Tour" is bouncing through Raleigh. The streetball event made a tour stop in the area Monday with appearances at Washington Elementary School, the RBC Center and Crabtree Valley Mall. On Tuesday, the basketball players will hit the court for a game at the RBC Center.

16/08 - And1 Mixtape Volume 7
Vol. 7 introduces the world to AND 1 NBA endorsers that have that street swagger. Including Jason Williams, Ricky Davis, Speedy Claxton and Skip. Volume 7 also introduces the newest breed of streetball legends including the Professor, Go Get It and Helicopter. And it would not be an official AND 1 Mixtape if it didn't have a banging soundtrack with tracks from today's hottest hip hop artists including the Beastie Boys.

14/08 - AND1 Tour in South Florida
Friends Ralph Mata and Adrian Thomas made sure to arrive on time for the Open Run of the AND1 Mixtape Basketball Tour Friday afternoon, Aug. 13 at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. They not only reached the finals but were selected for Team Miami -- the opposition later that night - against AND1, the best streetballers in the world.

13/08 - Too Hot For TV...
OK, admittedly when the AND1 Mix Tape Tour asked us to cover them this summer, I had no idea what to expect... even after talking with our guys that covered events in LA, Salt Lake City, Dallas and many other spots, I had even less of a clue. After the Tampa stop, I have a better understanding of the event and why thousands of people turn out at each stop, so let me break it down for you.

12/08 - Fat Joe Interview
Fat Joe, the famous New York rapper, owns and runs a street basketball team named Terror Squad that plays in the EBC at Rucker Park in Harlem, New York. 05/08 - Rucker :: More Than a Name
Eight years ago, Chris Rucker (right) and Dexter Gordon had an idea. Chris - grandson of Holcombe, namesake of Harlem's famed Rucker Park - and Gordon trademarked Chris' last name and got into the apparel game. After starting small, the Rucker clothing line is now standing strong, worn by high school teams and the likes of Vince Carter, Allen Iverson and 50 Cent..

05/08 - And1 Mixtape Vol 7
Introducing a new breed of ballers, re-inventing the usual suspects and bringing you an extra special twist in the form of the original "White Chocolate" Jason Williams doing his high school thing. Featuring music by the Beastie Boys, Mobb Deep, the Beatnuts, Masta Killa featuring the Wu-Tang Clan and more...Get at And1 Mixtape Vol 7 - Hitting stores Tuesday, August 31st.

04/08 - And 1 in Minneapolis
For one day last week the Target Center in Minneapolis became a circus tent for some of the most freakish basketball athletes in the world. Guys with names like Hot Sauce, Prime Objective, Helicopter, and the Professor displayed their physical gifts to the thousands of teenage to mid-twenties fans that filled the lower bowl.

02/08 - Boston Frenzy hits ESPN2
Boston, MA. Dan Savage, GM of the ABA's Boston Frenzy professional basketball team, scheduled to begin play in November, today announced that the ABA and the team will gain some national exposure tonight (Tue, Aug 3) when he and his brother Patrick will be featured in a segment of ESPN2's original series, Streetball-The And1 Mix Tape Tour by Mountain Dew Code Red at 1230EST.
