30/04 - Homicide's Wizards win NBDL title
Darius Rice came off the Dakota Wizards bench to put together a record-setting night and lead the Dakota Wizards to a 129-121 overtime victory over the Colorado 14ers and hand the 2007 NBA Development League title to the Wizards in front of a D-League postseason record crowd of 5,224 at the Bismarck Civic Center on Sunday. As a result, Kevin Wulff, who joined as president/CEO in 2005 to restructure ASG and assist with the sale, left (he's now CEO at Pony) and was replaced by industry veteran Tom O'Riordan. ..read more..
09/04 - Killa Krossova team stars win
Referees tend to be window decoration in an Killa Krossova Tour game. The spectacular athleticism of the Killa Krossova team tends to make officiating unnecessary in a game with no shot clock, no defense and no free throws until the final two minutes. But rough play and streetball-style speed-up-the-game tactics on both sides made officiating very necessary at Halenbeck Hall on Thursday as the Quality Choice All-Stars, a team of former college players, gave the Killa Krossova team all it could handle. Former St. Cloud State stars Nate Miller and Jason Kron were among those who frustrated the Killa Krossova team throughout a 126-113 win for the visitors. ..read more..
