Inner City Streetball DVD
I really didn't know what to expect when I bought this DVD concidering the small description on the website wasn't giving too much away. Anyway a week later it came and to my surprise I now concider Inner City
Streetball one of the better mixtape's to be released this year. Basically it was filmed in the Bronx and mainly features
And1 Ballers such as
The Pharmacist,
Shane and
High Octane aswell as small apearance's by
Headache,
AO and
Helicopter. If you like the
Pharmicist you'll love this tape. It gives you an insight into his background aswell as a lot of crazy highlights of him just straight out imbarrasing people. He also talks about how he got his knickname and some of his move's he created like the Y2K and the Headbanger.
High Octane is also a big part of this tape, it features alot of his dunks and highlights aswell as an interview with him talking about
And1 and how it has changed his life. Alot of the other
streetball that is shown is your tipical New York style type of play were there are no rules and regulations, just hard fouls, killer cross's and monster dunks. This is not your regular
streetball mixtape though mainly because it features alot of interviews and freestyles by well known Hip Hop artist like Jay Z, The Roots, Wu Tang Clan and members from Dead Broke Records. The tape is 45 minutes long and only 30 minutes of it is
streetball but the footage it does have is high quality
streetball. The Pro's of this movie are definatly the footage of
Pharmacist and
Shane apart from that I liked the freestyle by the Roots and Ol Dirty talking shit about how he's all for the children. The things I didn't like about it was the fact it was a low budget project so it didn't have the best graphics and the camera work was a little shaky and sometimes out of focus. I also felt the movie was too short and left me wanting more. It definatly could of been 10 minutes longer.
