And1 Asia/Pacic Tour
I don't think I've ever seen an
And1 mixtape start of as good as this one, and its not because of the half naked Japanese woman dancing in G-strings at the begining (although it did help) but a combination of the best editing and music I've seen on an
And1 tape. Japans game was hype, they probably had the most fanatical fans on the whole Asia/Pacific Tour. Unfortunitly their players were not so good, out of all the games they were the only team not to have any highlights.
Professor played well and probably had the best moves of the game dropping two players, apart from that
AO pretty much ran the show and seemed to be part of every play. After the game some of the
And1 players crashed a court and played a few locals. If you listen closely you'll hear
AO call
Bone Collector a dirty bitch. Next was the Philippines stop where
And1 had a practice session with the Flip Ballaz. There were a couple of little battles going on like
Pharmacist vs Lil Wizard &
Prime Objective vs
Pharmacist as well as an Atlanta dunk off between
50 &
Spider. The main game itself was again packed out with screaming fans. Lil Wizard took it to the
And1 players and had a few nice moves but most of the highlights as expected came from the tourists. Nobody really stood out for the
And1 team as playing the best but
Helicopter had a nice through the legs dunk to shut it down at the end. Next was the New Zealand leg where the team was greeted by Maori Warriors at the Airport. Some of the players looked like they were gona shit themselves.
Spiders reaction was priceless. It really looked like the travel was effecting the team at this stage of the tour as it showed in practice. Everyone was arguing with each other and fouling hard. The main game itself was crazy. Even though I was at the game and had seen highlights of it on TV it was still good to see footage of it up close and on different angles. The Australian leg kicked of with crash the courts in Melbourne, again a lot of footage I had seen before but on different angles. The target practice was crazy with
Spider &
Helicopter dunking on some poor fools. The
And1 players then visited the zoo were
Main Event had a hard time with a Koala and
AO got on a little to well with the Giant Turtle. After the Zoo was practice with more arguments, even to the point were
Main Event &
Alimoe got into a fight. Nothing to serious but still good to watch. The hight lights of the two Australian games were put into one mix and was probably my least favorite part of the mixtape. Although there were some nice plays It seemed like the crowd wasn't really into it and didn't give me the same hyped feel as a regular
And1 game. All players had high lights and there were some crazy dunks but the amount of fouls made it less entertaining. All in all it was a pretty nice mixtape and I liked the fact that the footage was new and mixed well. Not just high lights of
Streetball episodes on different angles. My favorite part was the Japan game, mainly because of the music and editing. The Australian highlights were my least favorite, it just didn't end the mixtape on a high note. Another thing I found strange is that they made out Australia was the last county on the tour. I'm not sure why they did that but it probably would of been better to end the tape the correct way with the New Zealand game. Out of 10 I would give the tape an 8 and would rate it up there with Volume 8 mainly because of editing.
